Our staff in St. Michael’s want your child to do well and be happy in our school. We recognize that you, as a parent/guardian play an important part in making this happen. Please try to demonstrate a positive attitude to school, regardless of what your own experience of school was like.

Parent/Teacher meetings are usually held before Christmas.

We are aware that there may be other times when you have questions, concerns, worries or complaints. Please do not hesitate to make an appointment to see the teacher before the situation gets out of hand.

If you have a complaint please follow the correct procedure as outlined by the INTO ( Irish National Teachers Association).

Complaints Procedure

A parent/guardian who wishes to make a complaint should, unless there are local arrangements to the contrary

• make an appointment to see the class teacher with a view to resolving the complaint.
• Where the parent/guardian is unable to resolve the complaint with the class teacher, she/he should approach the Principal with a view to resolving it.
• If the complaint is still unresolved, the parent/guardian should raise the matter with the Chairperson of the Board of Management with a view to resolving it.
