Update for Parents.
- Half-term: School will close on Friday 23rd October at 3.00 p.m. for half-term and re-open on Monday 2nd November. Happy Halloween to all!
- Staff Meeting: Thursday 5th November
- First Holy Communion: Sunday 16th May.

- 3rd -6th classes will be going to a matinee performance in St. Mary's on Monday 19th October. Cost €6. Money must be in by Wednesday 14th.
- Feel free to ring Mrs. Biddulph if there is genuine financial difficulty.
First Aid:
- Our school First Aid policy is under review at present. At the moment we are working under the Guidelines from the INTO which recommend that teachers should not carry out any First Aid on children. We are formulating our own policy to deal with minor cuts, grazes and banged heads!! This will be circulated to you following first aid training at our next Staff Meeting.
Reminders:
- Uniform: Please make sure your daughter is wearing her correct uniform. Track suit bottoms are only worn on P.E. days. For health and safety reasons these bottoms should not be dragging on the ground.
- Homework: Well done to all those girls and their parents who are doing an excellent job on the Homework. During the month of September only four girls in the entire school were brought to my attention for incomplete homework. Please keep up the good work and check that all your child's homework is completed each night. Homework journals must be signed by a parent or guardian nightly. If you feel your child is struggling and spending a lot more time than the recommended guidelines on a regular basis, please send a note to her teacher.
- Time Guidelines: Junior Infants - 10 minutes
Senior Infants - 15 minutes
1st/2nd Class - up to 25 minutes
3rd Class - 40 minutes
4th Class - 50 minutes
5th Class - 1 hour
6th Class - 1 hour 15 minutes
