Penguin
Playing happily in the cold snow,
Eating fish and off they go,
Nesting and resting,
Gliding down slopes,
Using their slippers,
In the water so cold,
No animal is like the PENGUIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aoife Murphy
Penguin
Plays on the ice
Eats raw fish
Nearest to the South Pole
Goes swimming and diving
Under the water most of the time
It is not a mammal
Needs ice to slide on
Meabh Russell
Penguin
Prancing along on frozen ice
Eating raw fish from the blue sea
Never does a baby penguin leave its mother
Great at staying warm at night
Using their belly they slide on ice
In the cold water is where they hunt
Never will a penguin swim near a shark or a jellyfish
Tayler Loonam
Penguins
Pretty birds that do not fly
Eating fish from the sea
Never founding the sky
Going about their way in the South Pole
Under the sea they swim and roll
Ice cold after where they live
Near the South Pole, who would believe!!
Amy Guilfoyle
Penguin
Probably skating along the ice
Eventually he fell down and badly hurt his knee
Now he knows not to cry
Granddad is on his way
Until then he waits quietly
In granddad’s arms he will climb and be off home
Now that he’s safe and sound in his lovely bed he drifts off slowly and rests his little head
Jessica Watters
Penguins
Penguins all slippery and slimy and wet.
Eating big fish for their main dish.
Near the ice and sea they spend their time.
Gliding and diving and playing about.
Under the thick white ice they like to hide.
In big groups they all gather tall and small.
Not one left out as they all sing and shout.
Eimear Cox
Penguins
Paddling around meeting new friends
Eating lots of fish
New penguins being born everyday
Good at diving into the waters
Unique in every single way
In Antarctica is where they live
Nothing can stop their cuteness
