Readathon 2009
Beware! Beware! Beware!
There are worms about.
Parents, did you realize that all the pupils in St. Michael’s School, from Junior Infants to 6th Class are turning into bookworms from now until the mid-term break? Yes. That is the truth.
So please be warned! The girls will be reading at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner, in bed, in the car, in school, in the yard, even in the bath ! ( Keep those books dry, though!)
They will be so busy reading they may not be able to help with household chores. So please be patient!!
The girls love reading books – funny books, picture books, sad books, exciting books, adventurous books, spooky books, true story books, fact books. You name it they’ll read it! They also love to show off their reading skills. So if you busy parents could spare a few minutes they would definitely love to read to you.
The local Public Library have kindly offered to display Book Reviews and art work during the Readathon. All are welcome to go in, view and marvel at the talent of Bookworms!
